Yesterday (March 15), at the invitation of the Mayor of the Municipality of Kochani, a delegation from the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, stationed at the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip, from the Second Infantry Battalion (2nd InfBn), within the First Infantry Brigade, attended the commemoration of the “Day of Gratitude”, marking one year since the tragic fire in Kochani.
During those difficult moments, members of the 2nd InfBn selflessly and devotedly took part in the efforts to rescue and assist those affected. Through their humanity, professionalism, and dedication, they made a significant contribution in the fight to save every human life, bringing hope in one of the most difficult periods for the country.
On this occasion, in the Park of the Revolution at the NICC “Beli Mugri” in Kochani, members of the 2nd InfBn were awarded a certificate of appreciation and a statuette. This recognition stands as a lasting testament to their exceptional selflessness, professional conduct, and humanity, as well as an acknowledgment of their contribution in dealing with the consequences of the tragic event.
