The Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Besnik Emini, attended the conference of European Armies (CEA- Conference of European Armies) from June 10-12. Commanders of the Land Forces of 35 armies, armies of the members of the NATO Alliance and allies participate in the conference. Representatives from the Army of the United States of America, representatives of the NATO Command and other organizations also participated in the conference.
The conference was organized by the US Europe and Africa Command and was chaired by the Commander of the US Europe and Africa Command, General Daryl Williams. The Chief of Staff of the US Army, General Randy George, was also present. During the conference, several current topics were discussed, which are important for the current security situation in Europe, as well as the strengthening of the capabilities of the armies.
During the conference, the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Besnik Emini held bilateral meetings with representatives of the US Army and representatives of NATO and allied armies, such as: a joint meeting of the generals present at the conference with the US Army Chief of Staff, General Randy George, bilateral meetings with the Chief of G-3 at the US Europe and Africa Command, Brigadier General Patrick Ellis, with Brigadier General Stephen Carpenter, Commander of US 7th Training Army, with the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Greek Army, Lieutenant General Georgios Kostidis, and with the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Norwegian Army, Major General Lars Lervik.
The participation in the conference is of great importance for the Army because it provides an opportunity to learn about the challenges and the current security situation in Europe, as well as the opportunity to meet with representatives from other armies with the aim of deepening mutual cooperation.
