The service personnel of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion (RecceIntelBn) from the Operations Command took part in one of the most prestigious military competitions, “Cambrian Patrol 25”, held in the United Kingdom from October 5 to 7 2025, where they won third place and a bronze medal.
At this army competition, considered one of the toughest in the world, and designed to test the best and most resilient soldiers the RecceIntelBn team competed alongside participants from 43 other countries. The competition consisted of several stages and phases, during which the ranger team crossed more than 70 kilometers through the rugged terrain of the Cambrian Mountains, carrying their full personal and collective equipment, including a 35-kilogram backpack. Under difficult terrain conditions and poor weather, they successfully carried out around 10 complex tasks, such as planning, crossing contaminated ground, crossing a water obstacle, target reconnaissance, crossing a minefield, medical evacuation, calling for fire support, conducting an ambush, and debriefing. Each of these tasks was scored individually.
Through the harsh and demanding terrain of Wales, with honor, discipline, and unwavering determination, the members of the Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion once again demonstrated their efficiency and capability in carrying out assigned missions.
