Military personnel from the Joint Operations Command (JOC) took part in the Solemn Assembly at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts (MASA) on the 8th of May to celebrate 70 years of the victory over the fascism and the 9th of May – the Day of Europe.
There were a lot of attendees at the Solemn Assembly including representatives of all state organizations and academic institutions. The President of MASA, academician Vlado Kambovski, gave a lecture on “70 Years of New Europe”, academician Ivan Katardjiev gave a lecture on “Republic of Macedonia – 70 Years after the Victory over the Fascism”, and academician Milan Gjurchinov gave a lecture on “Victory over Fascism and the Rise of Macedonian Literature and Culture”.
The presence of the military personnel at the Solemn Assembly is the result of a good civilian – military cooperation with MASA which is the highest Institution in the science and arts world in Republic of Macedonia. Moreover, next week the key personnel of JOC will visit MASA in order to get familiar with the activities in MASA and to listen to an academic lecture.
