On the 10.16.24 of March 2015 drills have been conducted using the AME military equipment which involved, according to the new organized formation structure, tank companies from the Tank Battalion, which is consistent embedded part on the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade.
The shooting drill took place at the shooting range Petrovec within the sector “Miniature tank shooting range” with the commanders onboard commanding the tanks as well as their gunners on the tank T-72. Shootings from stand still position and shootings from moving position have been realized, aiming at fixed targets, hit by a reduced bullet at lowered distance using fixed machine gun (PKT 7.62mm) mounted on the T-72 tank.
The shooting procedure and its realization were in accordance with the plan to train the newly assigned staff members to the Tank battalion. In tribute of the commemoration of 26th of February, the Day of the unit on its celebration there was a ceremony, the delegation of ARM paid tribute by laying down fresh flowers in front of the monument in village Zegljanje, and in front of the War Memorial “Boro Menkov” in the barracks units.
After the official, the attendees of the ceremony had the opportunity to observe a display of arsenal of weapons, equipment and vehicles of the unit.
