On the 06.03.2014 Joint Operations Command (JOC) and its subordinate commands and units with their commanders had a reception for the female military personnel in order to celebrate the 8th of March – the International Women’s Day.
The female military personnel were respectfully honored for their professional work as well as for their role outside the military environment by giving them a symbolic rose.
After the reception the female military personnel went on a fieldtrip in accordance with the plan and program of the commands and units.
The female military personnel of JOC visited the antique ruins of Stobi followed by a lunch by the lake ‘Veleshko’; the Air Brigade organized lunch for the female military personnel on Popova Shapka; Logistics Support Brigade, 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade and its units, Military Police Battalion and Signals Battalion organized the celebration of the International Women’s Day in their units.
Striving for gender equality means to utilize the potentials of all ARM personnel, without discrimination which reflects the determination to meet the standards of NATO member countries.
