With the today’s ceremony for solemn closure at the “Krivolak” training area, officially the end of the largest military exercise, realized in Republic of North Macedonia was marked.
The participants on the exercise were addressed by the commander of the Joint Operations Command, which organized and realized the exercise, Major General Pavle Arsovski and the director of the exercise, Lieutenant Colonel Igor Manasovski.
In his speech by which he closed the exercise, the Major General Arsovski honored the participants for their effort and enthusiasm, and said: “I am convinced that the time spent in training was used to share the already accumulated experience and skills and you leave this exercise richer for one more new experience.”
The director of the exercise said that it was honor to be part of the exercise, where everyone gained new knowledge and experience but also new friendships, which confirmed that the benefits and the challenges were the same no matter the insignia on the uniforms because they shared the same goal.
The deputy of the commander of JOC, Brigadier Orce Jordev was present at today’s ceremony also the commander of the first mechanized infantry brigade, Dragan Kovachki, whose members were the most numerous at the exercise.
At the “Decisive Strike” exercise which was organized by our army, participated more than 2700 members of the armed forces of six countries: Republic of North Macedonia with ground troops, air forces and special forces, the United States of America (The National Guard of Pennsylvania, 19th group for Special operations and Air Forces of USA), Lithuania and Monte Negro with artillery capacities and special forces of Bulgaria and Albania.
In the period from June 5 till today, at the “Krivolak” training area in accordance with the scenario were realized 26 events and 96 tasks were performed. At the exercise also were realized 13 tactical exercises with live ammunition firing, but also within the civilian-military cooperation were realized presentations of equipment and arms in 8 cities in the country.
During the exercise there was a constant environmental control. The summary of the two researches showed that there were no harmful consequences on the people and the nature.
This exercise fully achieved its goal to strengthen the standard operative procedures of the units, to improve the interoperability and to promote the mutual understanding and trust and also to strengthen the cooperation.
