On the occasion of August 18, Army Day, delegations from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, led by the Chief of the General Staff Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, gathered at the city cemetery in Butel, Skopje. Representatives from the President’s office, Parliament, Government, Union of WWII Fighters, Organization of Reserve Military Officers, the city of Skopje, and others laid wreaths of fresh flowers with military honors at the partisan cemetery, as well as at the graves of President Boris Trajkovski, President Kiro Gligorov, and General Mihailo Apostolski.
A delegation from the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, led by Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, along with representatives from the Association of the Families of the Fallen Defenders, laid fresh flowers at the monument honoring fallen defenders outside the Ministry of Defense. Additionally, delegations laid flowers in front of the busts of National Heroes at the army barracks named in their honor.
