Resident and non-resident defence attachés accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia today made a working visit to the Honour Guard Battalion at military barracks ‘Ilinden’ in Skopje. This visit to the Honour Guard Battalion is part of the regular activities of the Cooperation Programme the Ministry of Defence has with the Defence Attachés Association.
During their visit, by means of short presentations, the defence attachés were familiarized with the mission, main duties, and structure of the Honour Guard Battalion and also the forthcoming activities of the unit. The visitors had an opportunity to see parts of the training and preparation for performing protocol and honour activities of the unit through a demonstration of short maneuvers. The program was rounded up with a presentation of formation drill and weapon handling in place and while moving, the famous honour guard ‘Egzercir’ and performance by the military orchestra.
This visit to the Honour Guard Battalion by the Defence Attachés Association is an excellent opportunity to show the potential of the unit for further cooperation.
