The Chief of General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, today hosted a meeting at the Army General Staff with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, Fatih Ulusoy, and the outgoing Resident Defence Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye, Colonel Recai Yilmaz, on the occasion of the completion of their mandates.
During the meeting, General Lafchiski expressed his sincere appreciation for their professional engagement and dedication to further developing the continuously strong bilateral military cooperation, highlighting their contribution to advancing cooperation in the field of military education, as well as in the process of modernisation and development of the Army’s capabilities and capacities. The Chief of General Staff emphasised the continued support provided by the Republic of Türkiye to the Army, noting that Türkiye is a strategic ally and an important partner within NATO.
As part of the visit, the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye, Fatih Ulusoy, and the outgoing Resident Defence Attaché, Colonel Recai Yilmaz, also held a meeting with the Deputy Chief of General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, after which Colonel Yilmaz was received by the Director of the General Staff, Brigadier General Orce Jordev.
