The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sasko Lafchiski held a protocol meeting with the Acting Ambassador of the State of Qatar Charge to the Republic of North Macedonia, H.E. Rashid Bin Saeed Al-Khayareen today.
During the meeting, views were exchanged on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, and it was emphasized that there is mutual interest in further deepening and strengthening this cooperation in the future.
The State of Qatar is an active NATO partner through the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative, established in 2004 with the aim of strengthening security cooperation with countries in the broader Middle East region. Additionally, through the Individual Partnership and Cooperation Programme within NATO, the State of Qatar is enabled to cooperate in various areas.
