Today, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, had a formal farewell meeting with the Defense Attaché of the United Kingdom, Lieutenant Colonel John Edward Green, on the occasion of the completion of his mandate.
General Lafchiski expressed his gratitude for Lieutenant Colonel Green’s engagement and personal contribution to the enhancement of bilateral defense cooperation, which has been continuously implemented through joint activities, exercises, training, and professional support.
During the meeting at the General Staff, the importance of British support was particularly emphasized, both in the processes of developing the Army’s capacities and in the field of professional development of military personnel at senior military educational institutions in the United Kingdom. This support represents a confirmation of the ongoing cooperation and partnership between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Armed Forces of the United Kingdom.
