A member of the Special Forces Battalion of the Special Operations Regiment completed the course in martial arts as a top-ranked student among 22 participants from 19 countries.
The course in martial arts ‘Chinese Wushu’ was held in PR China from 18.09. 2018 to 17.01. 2019. The course is considered highly professional regarding the fact that the same is attended by members of the special units from all over the world. Traditional martial arts are taught during the course, combined with new ones which originate from China and are applied in many armies and special units. During the course emphasis was given to sparring (fights) between participants and to practicing katas (individual training exercises). Besides martial arts, participants learn to deal with sport injuries and learn Chinese language in the course.
This accomplishment is another confirmation of the high level of readiness of regiment members and an example of how one should represent the unit and the Army.
