Personnel of the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) marked the Patron’s Day of the “Alekso Demnievski-Bauman” barracks in Veles with a commemorative ceremony, paying tribute to the historical figure after whom the barracks is named.
The commemoration began with laying fresh flowers in front of the busts of Alekso Demnievski-Bauman in the barracks courtyard and in the city of Veles. A TRADOC delegation, along with representatives of institutions from the Municipality of Veles, paid tribute.
At the ceremony, the TRADOC commander, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, emphasized that marking the Patron’s Day represents an opportunity to remember Alekso Demnievski Bauman as a person, as well as his work, and the values he advocated.
Reflecting on his life and military service, Brigadier General Nuredini emphasized that his determination, dedication and steadfastness in the struggle for freedom represent a lasting value and an example for the generations that continue to build and further develop the Army. He stressed that the name of the barracks’ patron also represents an obligation for TRADOC personnel to preserve the values achieved through responsible and professional work, to continue developing their capabilities, and to strive for even higher results.
A representative from the Veles National Museum held a history lesson on the historical significance of Alekso Demnievski-Bauman presenting his life and work.
The ceremony was enriched by a cultural performance by the CAA “Kole Nedelkovski” from Veles, bringing the commemoration of the barracks’ patron day to a close.
