According to the annual plan of the Cadets Training Centre for the cadets who are studying at the Military Academy “General Mihailo Apostolski”, several activities were carried out in the Training and Doctrine Command in the past period. The study groups had different activities, part of them carried out the programme activity “Camping 2” at the Army Training Area “Krivolak” where, at the same time, the Platoon Commanders Course was carried out with the fourth-year cadets. With the cadets from the second study group the programme activity “Training in summer conditions and swimming” was carried out in the Water Training Centre “Radozhda”, Ohrid.
During the Camping, the cadets practiced tactical procedures and performed the planned preparatory shootings. At the end of the activity, there was also a Commander’s shooting with a unit, where using the procedures of troop guidance and skillful combination of fire and maneuver, the cadets successfully completed the task and proved that they are actively preparing to take on their commanding duties.
Fourth-year cadets of PCC successfully mastered the given tasks. They familiarized themselves with the assets available to the Army and practically demonstrated the knowledge gained during the training process. They rounded off the final part of the course with the successful realization of the exercise that showed a mechanized infantry platoon in attack.
With the implementation of the practical training, the cadets have the opportunity to fully upgrade and confirm the already acquired theoretical knowledge and gain self-confidence and experience for life and work in field conditions necessary for every future, modern and well-trained officer of the Army.
In the Water Training Centre “Radozhda”, training was carried out with the cadets from the second study group in summer conditions. The purpose of this activity was for the cadets to familiarize themselves with the techniques of swimming with and without uniform, crossing water obstacles with formative and manual assets, scuba diving, diving, preparing and sailing a dinghy, rowing, and performing tactical operations from water. The activity was completed with the successful realization of a tactical exercise, in which the procedures of troop guidance, in combination with the mastered study content, proved that practical teaching has a significant role in training the cadets for the specific duties in the Army units.
