Today, 10.11.2017 at the barracks “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles a military ceremony was held on the occasion of giving an oath of enlistment by the military service personnel of the generation “October-2017”.
The 33rd generation of military service volunteers counts 77 soldiers, 8 of whom are females.
The ceremony was attended by: the Director of the ARM General Staff, Major-General Dimche Petrovski, Deputy Commander of the Joint Operational Command (JOC) Brigadier General Pavle Arsoski, State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Mr Dragan Nikolic, the mayor of the municipality of Veles Mr Ace Kocevski, the mayor of the municipality of Chashka Mr Goran Stojanovski and representatives of ARM commands and units, local government representatives, relatives of the volunteers and other guests.
The Director of the ARM General Staff Major-General Dimche Petrovski congratulated the volunteers on their oath, wishing them successful training in the ARM. He pointed out that doing military service opens opportunities for development in the military profession, and a data base is being formed for further selection in the professional system of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
In his address, the State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Mr Dragan Nikolic congratulated the volunteers on their oath, wishing them successful training in the ARM. In addition, he said that the military profession is a challenge, honour and pride for all young, ambitious people and their task was to learn as much as possible about the military skills.
The Commander of the Individual Training Centre Lieutenant Colonel Arben Jakupi, in his speech told the volunteers that in the upcoming period they were to expect hard work in order to accomplish all the planned training activities. He pointed out that doing military service opens opportunities for development in the military profession, and a database is being formed for further selection in the professional system of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
