A ceremony was held in the barracks “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles on the occasion of oath taking of the soldiers on voluntary service, the generation “October 2018”, during which the 36th generation of military volunteers gave an oath.
During the following three months, this generation of 104 soldiers, among whom there are 10 women, will gain the knowledge and skills of the basic military training in the Center for Individual Training which is part of the Training and Doctrine Command.
The ceremony was attended by the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the ARM, General Major Azim Nuredin, the Chief of Staff of the Joint Operations Command, Brigadier General Orce Jordev, representatives of the Ministry of Defence, the mayor of the Municipality of Lozovo, as well as representatives of the commands and units of the ARM, representatives of the local self-government, relatives of the soldiers and other guests.
The Deputy Chief of General Staff of the ARM, General Major Azim Nuredin congratulated the soldiers on the oath-taking and wished them success during the training in the ARM. At the same time, he advised them to maintain a high discipline, to take care of themselves, to take care of the interpersonal relations and to maintain the integrity of the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Commander of the Center for Individual Training, Lieutenant Colonel Muhamed Ibraimi also addressed the soldiers and told them to expect hard work during the planned activities of the training. He pointed out that the voluntary service opens the possibility for professional enlistment in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
