Today, 11 March, a ceremony was held to mark the Day of the Reserve Forces Center (RFC) at the barracks “Strasho Pindzur” in Petrovec. The ceremony was attended by the TRADOC Commander, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, commanders of the Army units and former members of the RFC.
In his address, the Commander of the Center, Colonel Kiro Kalkov, emphasized that this event carries strong symbolism and represents one of the first concrete steps in establishing our own armed forces. He also pointed out that these events marked the beginning of the Army and the creation of the defense system in which the reserve component also holds an important place.
In his speech, the Commander of TRADOC, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini, congratulated the members of the RFC on the Day of the Unit and wished them good health and success in their work. He added that the reserve forces are proof that the defense of the state is a shared responsibility.
“Your readiness and dedication to accepting, training and preparing the Army’s reserve personnel until they reach operational readiness represent an important part of the defense system” emphasized Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini.
On the occasion of the Day of the Unit, congratulatory messages were read and incentive awards were presented to members of the unit for their achievements in their work.
