In the period from 6 to 10 October, 2025, a representative from the Center for Foreign Languages (CFL), within the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), civilian Natasha Andonova-Jovanovska, participated as a trainer at the workshop “Tailored Seminar on Language Standards and Assessment for Armenia – Familiarizing Foreign Language Teacher with NATO STANAG 6001.” This workshop is part of the NATO Defense Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP – Armenia). Ms. Andonova-Jovanovska delivered lectures together with a representative from the testing team of the Spanish Armed Forces. The workshop took place at the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy in Yerevan, Armenia.
The aim of this workshop, “Tailored Seminar on Language Standards and Assessment for Armenia – Familiarizing Foreign Language Teachers with NATO STANAG 6001,” was to present the language proficiency standards according to NATO STANAG 6001 and their implementation in language training. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to learn about ways of adapting teaching methods and materials to the language standards at three proficiency levels of NATO STANAG 6001, as well as the initial implementation of these language standards within the Armed Forces of Armenia. The workshop was attended by ten foreign language teachers from the Centre for Foreign Languages within the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Academy in Yerevan, Armenia.
