The two-week Course for Giving Briefings in English Language (CGBEL1/24), held at the Foreign Language Centre (FLC) in ‘Ilinden’ Barracks in Skopje, was completed on 7 June, 2024.
CGBEL1/24 is a specialized course designed for personnel expected to gain necessary skills in giving military briefings in English language in an international environment. Course participants had the opportunity to acquire and practice the skills for planning, preparing and giving a military briefing in English language. The four types of military briefings: information, decision, mission and staff briefings were studied.
During the course the participants had the opportunity to give two, three, five, and a ten minute briefing implementing the structure and functional language of military briefings, receiving feedback accordingly. The course was conducted by four FLC teachers with extensive teaching experience, as well as training in materials and specialized courses design.
