Today, March 6th 2015, in the barracks “Alekso Demnievski – Bauman” in Veles a military ceremony was held marking the oath of enlistment of soldiers on voluntary military service from the generation “February” 2015.
165 soldiers swore, including 12 female members. This is the twenty-fifth generation of soldiers on voluntary military service.
The oath ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defence Mr. Zoran Jolevski, the Deputy Chief of Army General Staff Lieutenant General Naser Sejdini, the Brigadier General Muhamed Racaj, representatives of the Army units, representatives of the local self-government, relatives of the soldiers and other guests.
The Defence Minister of Republic of Macedonia Mr. Zoran Jolevski congratulated the soldiers on the oath, wishing them success in the next three months in ARM. “Military profession is a challenge, honour and pride for all ambitious young people; your mission is to learn more of the military skill secrets”, the Minister said in his speech. He pointed out that more than 4000 soldiers were trained at the Centre for Individual Training, and that many of them chose the professional army service in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
The Commander of the Training and Doctrines Command, Colonel Ljupco Kostovski, in his speech emphasized that hard work is ahead of the soldiers in the upcoming period in overcoming the planned content of the training. Knowledge and labour will be further evaluated, and that will be one of the elements for those who wish to choose soldier’s profession in the future.
