With today’s military ceremony, the Logistic Support Brigade (LSBde) celebrated the Day of the Unit and the importance of the logistic units in the Army of the Republic of Macedonia.
This was emphasized in the speeches held by the commander of the Joint Operations Command (JOC), Brigadier General Zoran Mileski and the commander of the LSBde, Colonel Vasko Toshevski.
They also emphasized the role of the Brigade in the securing all army capacities at the southern and the northern border engaged in the dealing with the migrant crisis, as well as the floods that occurred in the region of Skopje and Tetovo. These challenges have proven that the logistic elements in ARM are successful in dealing with different challenges, said Colonel Toshevski.
At the ceremony for the Day of the Unit, which was held at the Technical Repair Centre and is part of the activities celebrating 25 years since the formation of ARM, incentive awards were given for reaching good results at work, as well as to the winners of the competitions for the best mechanic, driver, cook and athlete in the Brigade who participated in the brigade and battalion sports competitions.
Besides the Deputy Chief of GS of ARM, Major General Muhamet Racaj, and the JOC Commander, the ceremony was also attended by the commanders of the subordinate commands and units of GS of ARM, representatives of MoD and GS of ARM, as well as former and retired commanders and other distinguished guests.
