The cooperation of ARM with the USA Armed Forces (AF) for Europe and the meetings of ARM Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Metodija Velichkovski and Major General Ben Hodges continue in various forms of activities towards training the officers of both armies.
As a result of these meetings a group of young USA Armed Forces officers is visiting ARM in order to exchange experiences and to review the models of operation.
During the meeting today at the General Staff, General Velichkovski stressed the need for continuous education and development of young officers’ leadership characteristics as priorities for their professional development.
Over the next days the members of the USA Armed Forces will visit some ARM units and facilities, and they will have an opportunity to see the process of conducting the training and will also be able to exchange opinions and experiences with their colleagues regarding the challenges they face while executing their daily tasks.
Also planned is a tour of the ARM servicemen deployed on the southern border, where in a real situation the young officers will be able to observe the measures and procedures ARM successfully implements dealing with the migrant crisis.
