In the period from 18th to 24th April, 2016, at the Army Training Area Krivolak, joint training of the reconnaissance units from the 1stMechanized Infantry Brigade (1stMIBde) and one reconnaissance section from the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish Regiment, British Army, was organized.
During training, members of both armies presented their skills in carrying out basic and advanced reconnaissance tasks. At the ATA Krivolak the tactics, techniques and procedures of camouflage, tactical movement and navigation, monitoring and patrolling, and engaging and disengaging enemy units were drilled.
The focus of the training was building and operating watchtowers on the battlefield by the reconnaissance sections of the partnering armies.
The training itself, as a forum for sharing experiences, was a bridge connecting the two armies. The same is confirmed with the true friendships built between the ARM soldiers and the British Army, as a guarantee for sincere and mutual assistance when fighting together at future battlefields, side by side, friend next to a friend.
