On 18th February 2014 (Wednesday) at the military barracks: Kumanovo, Petrovec, Stip, Tetovo, Kichevo, Prilep and Skopje, members of the Joint Operations Command (JOC) and the subordinate commands and units marked the Day of the International Military Sports Council (IMSC).
This year for the tenth time members of the commands and units, part of the JOC took active part in this sports event marking the IMSC which is organized by the GS of the ARM.
After lining up the units and the teams, the commands of the garrisons wished the competitors achievement of top results, and then sport competitions started in the following disciplines: futsal, basketball, volleyball, table tennis, marksmanship, rope pulling (tug of war) and chess, which were realized on the sport terrains and at the barracks.
Besides the teams of the units located at the barracks, more teams from the civilian structures which cooperate with the ARM took part in the competitions.
Mass participation in these sports activities achieved the goal of this event which promotes healthy lifestyle, companionship, friendship and psycho-physical shape through sports activities, as an important part of the training in the ARM.
This day marked the sportsmanship and achievement of top results and at the end of the competitions the best teams and individuals received diplomas.
ARM is a full member of the International Military Sports Council since 2005 and it participates in all international sports events organized by this international military association.
