On 10th June at the barracks “Chedo Filipovski–Dame” in Kichevo the members of the 4th Mechanized Infantry Battalion (4th MIBn), a unit of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade, in cooperation with the Territorial Firefighting Unit (TFFU) of the city Kichevo, organized a firefighting training.
The training had a theoretical and a practical part. During the training the firefighters demonstrated and explained the common causes of fires, preventive firefighting measures and activities that should be undertaken in order to extinguish a fire with the means and equipment, which the 4th MIBn has at its disposal. There was a demonstration of the TFFU`s firefighting equipment in Kichevo during the practical part of the training.
The TFFU professional team also demonstrated procedures to put out a fire, like preparation and use of a firefighting vehicle, use of firefighting equipment when extinguishing a fire and other procedures.
This kind of firefighting training will be conducted in cooperation with the Territorial Firefighting Units in other barracks till the end of June.
