In the period from 04.03.2019 to 08.03.2019, a four-day training and exchange of experience in the area of artillery was held in the Artillery Battalion in the barracks “Mirche Acev” and the shooting range “Lekovo” in Prilep, in accordance with the Annual Work Plan of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade (1stMIBde). The training was attended by officers, NCOs and soldiers of the Artillery Battalion, the forward observers of the infantry battalions of the 1stMIBde, personnel of the Special Operations Regiment (SOR) and the Air Force Brigade of the Army.
Through presentations, discussions, exchange of personal experience and practically, at the shooting range “Lekovo” by shooting with howitzer 105 mm with 20 mm barrel, the training participants raised and improved their knowledge in the area of artillery.
The shooting exercises were also attended by nine cadets in the third year of the branch Artillery at the Military Academy “Mihajlo Apostolski” in Skopje who are attending a professional internship in the Artillery Battalion.
The common conclusion of the training participants is that this training was a good opportunity to share and exchange experience and to acquire new knowledge for easier overcoming of the challenges that the artillery personnel face with during the assignments.
