For the first time, organized by the US Embassy as part of the army cooperation with the United States, a delegation of young political scientists, future politicians, visited the Special Operations Regiment.
In a briefing the delegation was familiarized with the life and work in the unit as well as with the former bilateral cooperation with the USA. SOR Commander, Brigadier General Metodi Hadji-Janev, expressed sincere gratitude for the cooperation between the ARM units, especially the SOR and the US Army thus far. Plans for conversion of armament and equipment according to NATO standards were presented at the briefing, and the challenges the unit faces were also discussed. The priorities of the unit in the forthcoming period and the possibilities for future cooperation and support were also considered.
After completing their visit of the SOR Command, the delegation visited the Special Forces Battalion where battalion commander, Lieutenant Colonel Gjorgji Veljovski introduced them to the unit.
