Yesterday in Cerklje, the Republic of Slovenia, Army delegation led by the Deputy Chief of Staff Major General Azim Nuredin attended the Distinguished Visitors Day of the first part of the international exercise “Quick Response 19”, which was also marking the day of the Slovenian army.
Besides the senior state and military authorities from Slovenia, the Distinguished Visitors Day was attended by a large number of delegations from the military top of the countries participating in the exercise. General Nuredin met the Macedonian contingent from the Aviation Brigade and conveyed the words of praise from the organizer for their engagement in the exercise and the demonstrated effort.
“Quick Response 19” is an exercise organized by the US Army Command in Europe and is being realized simultaneously at several locations in the Republic of Slovenia, Hungary and the Republic of Croatia. Each year our members from different units of the Army participate as well.
The aim of this exercise, which is attended by 6,500 members of 15-nation armies and is conducted between May 10 and June 7, is the improvement of interoperability and regional cooperation between the participating countries and compatibility in the implementation of the decision-making process, the procedures and communication among the armies.
