In the period from 16.09 to 20.09.2019, the exercise for dealing with natural disasters “National Response 19” has been carried out in the barracks “Jane Sandanski” in Stip. The goal of the exercise is to coordinate the work of several elements that are engaged in the process of dealing with different types of natural disasters.
Besides the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Crisis Management Center and the Protection and Rescue Directorate, the exercise was also attended by representatives of EVN, the Red Cross, the public enterprises “Isar” and “Stipion” from Stip, as well as by representatives of the municipalities of Stip, Vinica, Kocani, Cesinovo-Oblesevo and Zrnovci.
As part of the exercise, this afternoon in the period from 18.00 to 19.00 at the city square in Stip they will organize an open day for the citizens where the personnel form the Army, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Crisis Management Center, the Protection and Rescue Directorate, the Red Cross, EVN and the bodies for crises management from the City of Stip will be able to present their work and technical-material means.
“National Response 19” is the first exercise of this type and this was the first time they used a system for commanding incidents in critical situations “NIKS” of the Crisis Management Center.
The final activities of the exercise will be carried out in the barracks “Jane Sandanski” tomorrow, which is also a Distinguished Visitors Day that will be attended by representatives of the institutions that took part in the exercise.
