In accordance with the annual training plan, the personnel from the Command and the Staff of the First Infantry Battalion (1.IBn) and the Artillery Battalion (ABn) within the First Infantry Brigade, in the Simulation Centre in the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) completed a three-day computer simulation exercise: “An Infantry Battalion in Defence Supported by Artillery”. The personnel from the Simulations Centre, mainly operators of the simulations system, also participated in this exercise besides the members of the mentioned units.
The planning process for this exercise started few days before the exercise. During the planning process they defined: the mission, the forces, the terrain, as well as the tactical procedures for the drill of the units.
This exercise resulted with many conclusions which will be implemented in the planning of the next exercises which will be carried out in the Simulations Centre with other Army units.
