At the military barracks ‘National hero Strasho Pindzur’ in Petrovec, hand-over of duty Commander of the Air Force (AF) WING was marked with a military ceremony.
Colonel Stojko Pejovski, who was Deputy Commander of the Air Force Brigade, took over the duty from the previous Commander of the AFBde, Colonel Robert Malezanski.
The Commander of the Operations Command (OC), Major General Pavle Arsoski, the previous and the newly appointed AF WING Commanders, Colonels Robert Malezanski and Stojko Pejovski addressed the present guests and military personnel.
In his speech, the OC Commander praised the previous Commander of the AFBde for his effort and results accomplished during his commanding of the brigade, and he congratulated the newly appointed Commander on his new duty wishing him success and accomplishment of even better results with the AF WING.
The previous Commander, addressing the present guests and military personnel, expressed gratitude for the high level professionalism and support from the brigade members, and he also wished the newly appointed Commander to gain the same kind of support in his future commanding of the unit.
The newly appointed Commander in his speech emphasized that it is a great honor to be the head of the AF WING, which is a strong element in the structure of the Army, as a future member of the NATO alliance.
Today’s ceremony of handing over of duty AF WING Commander, is a continuation of the initiated transformation of the Army and the Air Force (AF) Brigade, which in accordance with the new organizational-formation structure in the Army in the future will transform into AF WING.
