On 19th February 2021 at barracks “Boro Menkov” in Kumanovo, there was a voluntary blood donation, which was carried out in accordance with this year’s plan and programme for cooperation with the Red Cross, and at the same it was one of the activities marking the Day of the 1st Infantry Battalion, from the 1st Infantry Brigade. This activity, during which 53 blood units were donated, was organised in compliance with the “COVID-19” virus safety guidelines and recommendations.
Besides the members of the Army’s units in Kumanovo garrison, for the first time this year members of the SEEBRIG command also participated in this activity.
Teams of the Institute for Transfusion Medicine in Kumanovo and the Red Cross expressed their gratitude to the members of the Army for the donated blood units and for the rewarding cooperation.
