During the second half of January, in accordance with the annual training plans for subordinate units of the First Infantry Brigade (1st IBde), personnel from the reconnaissance platoons of the subordinate units of the 1st IBde conducted training in winter conditions at training areas located in the western and eastern mountains of the country.
In the one-week training, the personnel practically demonstrated their skills in handling and performing tasks in winter conditions, including: movement through deep snow, overcoming snow obstacles using both formation and improvised tools created by the personnel, constructing and staying in snow-made shelters, and stances for shooting with personal weapons in snowy conditions and deep snow.
During the training, the units were visited by senior officers responsible for training from the higher command, as well as from the command and staff of the 1st IBde, who gained insight into the high level of training and the physical and mental readiness of the personnel to perform tasks in winter and mountain conditions.
