Members of the Military Police Battalion (MPBn) recently conducted “Winter Combat Training” in the Tetovo garrison area.
The primary objective of the training was to train, qualify, and drill MPBn personnel in tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for survival and operations in challenging terrain and weather conditions as well as to assess the impact of cold temperatures on personnel and equipment during mountain operations.
During the training, participants practiced first aid for frostbite, navigation, and fieldcraft in snow-covered terrain. They also conducted shelter drills using improvised shelters (e.g., snow trenches, bear holes, and bivouacs). Vehicle operators honed their skills in off-road driving and snow-covered terrain navigation.
The winter training was executed successfully according to the training plan, with MP Bn personnel demonstrating professionalism and readiness to perform assigned tasks while strengthening unit cohesion, thereby achieving the required proficiency for mountain operations.
