The Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski held a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia, Kristin Melsom and the non-resident Defense Attaché, Colonel Dag-Magne Lunde.
During the meeting at the General Staff, the Ambassador and the General discussed the ongoing defense bilateral cooperation between our country and the Kingdom of Norway. The bilateral cooperation is mostly in areas of military medical field, public relations, training and exercises, joint participation in international operations, as well as the realization of high level visit.
Additionally, both parties stated that they are ready to continue and improve the bilateral cooperation in the fields of mutual interest, with a focus on building the capacities and capabilities of NATO declared units in the Army.
In the past period, the Kingdom of Norway has supported our Army in various ways, such as donation of necessary materiel, which significantly improve the army’s capacities.
