In the period from March 21 to 25, 2022, a seminar in the field of Civil-Military Cooperation (CIMIC) was held at the Army House, in cooperation with the Department of Military Cooperation with the United States Armed Forces.
Members of the General Staff, and the subordinate commands and units of the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia participated at the seminar. The trainers at the seminar were a team of CIMIC experts from US Army Command for Europe and Africa.
Several topics were taught at the seminar among which was introduction of the “Guide for Basic Planning of Civil-Military Cooperation”, development and integration of the engagement strategy, comparison and differences between the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP) and the Guide for Basic Planning of Civil-Military Cooperation, processing all phases of MDMP and the manner of conducting of the activities in both armies, as well as practical exercises in the MDMP area.
The seminar represents part of activities organized by the US Army Command for Europe and Africa, which is focused on the CIMIC in order to strengthen the expertise of military personnel in this area, as well as how to conduct such activities in multinational environments such as peace support operations and international exercises.
On the last day of the seminar, with a closing ceremony, the participants of the seminar were awarded certificates for participation.
