The Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski together with the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, today visited the members of the Special Forces Battalion – Wolves in the “Ilinden” Barracks in Skopje.
During the visit, Minister Misajlovski was briefed on the history of the unit, its missions and tasks, contribution to peacekeeping operations as well as operations for protection of the NATO eastern flank, i.e. the enhanced Vigilance Activities (eVA).
In a conversation with the members of the unit, Minister Misajlovski expressed his sincere gratitude for their service and unwavering commitment.
“You are the inspiration and heroes of our nation. It is my honour and privilege to stand before you, the members of the most elite unit of the Army. Our peacekeepers, the embodiment of courage and dedication in the service, important for the Army and for the citizens”, said Minister Misajlovski and added that he would do everything so that this unit, and all other units of the Army achieve an even higher level of readiness and equipping.
During the visit, Minister Misajlovski had the opportunity to familiarize himself with some of the equipment used by members of the unit and to visit the facilities of the Special Forces battalion.
