In the period from November 3 to 22, 2024 staff officers from the First Infantry Brigade (1st InfBde) participated in the largest artillery exercise ever conducted in Europe, “Dynamic Front 25” held in Grafenwörth, Germany. This exercise also included drills in: Estonia, Romania, Poland and the Nordic countries: Norway, Sweden and Finland.
In addition to members of our Army, the international exercise included participants from other NATO member states. The purpose of the exercise was to enhance interoperability among NATO artillery units for conducting military operations in harsh Arctic conditions and to improve synchronization and coordination with other NATO member states.
The exercise “Dynamic Front 25” was a unique artillery event led by the U.S. Army and supported by NATO allies and partners. The focus of the exercise was on the interoperability of indirect fire support, synchronizing human, procedural, and technical aspects of fire support. The exercise was a tactical drill with live-fire artillery exercises, preceded by a simulation-supported command post exercise.
The personnel from the U.S. Army Cavalry Regiment once again demonstrated their high level of training and readiness to collaborate with allies in solving complex tasks involving artillery fire and activities under realistic conditions. The execution of assigned tasks was noted by the superior command of the U.S. Army Artillery Regiment, to which the staff officers from the 1st InfBde were subordinated. For their engagement, the members of the 1st InfBde were awarded certificates of participation.

Meanwhile, the officers in the headquarters of the divisional indirect fire support in the 1st Cavalry Regiment, within the fire planning team and the fire control team, demonstrated their level of training and readiness to perform tasks in exercises led by our NATO allies.
