The Association of the Defence Attachés accredited to the Republic of North Macedonia visited the Canine Training Centre, within the Training and Doctrine Command, located in the “Gjorche Petrov” barracks in Skopje.
During the visit, the mission, tasks, history, structure, equipment and capacities of the unit were presented. The purpose of the visit was also highlighted, which is to deepen cooperation in the field of breeding and training of service dogs, with a special emphasis on educating the personnel responsible for that.
At the end of the visit, practical training and a methodical demonstration exercise with service dogs of different categories were carried out. During the exercises, attendees had the opportunity to see the procedures such as searching for explosives in a motor vehicle, detecting mines, locating injured persons, etc.
