Minister of Defense Vlado Misajlovski, together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Army, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, held a pre-New Year’s meeting with employees at the Ministry of Defense today, at which retired members, officers and non-commissioned officers of the Army were awarded recognition for their professional engagement, achievements and contribution to the reforms of the Army. Also two Army officers were promoted to the rank of colonel.
Minister Misajlovski thanked the employees of the Ministry and the Army for their cooperation and dedication to their work and told them that next year we will continue to work together and united for an even better defense and a stronger Army.
“We have had excellent cooperation over the past six months, we are showing trust and synergy to continue working together successfully in the coming year. I thank all of you for everything you have done,” said the Minister.
General Lafchiski thanked the retired members for their long service in the Army and for the fact that they “did a lot and paved the way for the next generations.” He congratulated the members and employees of the ministry and the Army on the new year and the upcoming holidays, and wished that cohesion in work will continue in 2025.
The gathering was also attended by Deputy Minister of Defense Elfet Ismaili, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Azim Nuredin, heads of the Ministry and heads of sections in the General Staff.
