A military ceremony was held today at the “Ilinden” barracks to officially mark the handover of duties of the Commander of the Military Police Battalion (MPBn). Lieutenant Colonel Toni Pavlovski assumed the duty from Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Stankovski who handed him over the unit’s flag.
Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski addressed the formation of the unit and the present guests, emphasizing that the unit is one of the most elite in the Army. In addition to its assigned missions and tasks, it carries out complex high-intensity operations on a daily basis. He expressed appreciation to the outgoing commander for his demonstrated leadership, command skills, and mentorship of younger personnel, wishing him success in his future career. He also extended best wishes to the incoming commander, encouraging him to lead the unit successfully and to invest efforts in further strengthening combat readiness, training, and discipline.
The outgoing commander, Lieutenant Colonel Zoran Stankovski, thanked everyone for their support and highlighted that executing the numerous tasks associated with the unit’s mission allows for neither improvisation nor selectiveness. He noted that the unit consistently receives praise and recognition for its achievements. The incoming commander, Lieutenant Colonel Toni Pavlovski, expressed his honor and satisfaction in leading the unit. He thanked Lieutenant Colonel Stankovski for his service and presented him with the MPBn Plaque as a token of appreciation for his work.
The ceremony was attended by: the Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski; the Commander of the Training and Doctrine Command, Brigadier General Lulzim Nuredini; the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski; the Director of the Military Security and Intelligence Directorate, Colonel Igor Jankulovski; the Commander of the Logistics Base, Colonel Muharem Muharemi; chiefs of organizational units in the General Staff and Operations Command; former commanders of the MPBn; commanders of other Army units; and other guests.
