From 15 to 19 December 2025, a delegation of the Air Force of the Army of the Republic of Italy paid an official working visit to the Army Air Force VING (AF VING). The purpose of the visit was to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the field of military aviation, with particular emphasis on joint engagement in the NATO Air Policing mission.
During the visit, discussions were held on deepening cooperation and strengthening capacities for airspace policing over the Republic of North Macedonia. Particular attention was given to the exchange of professional experience and training aimed at improving the operational capabilities of the AF VING, in accordance with the technical arrangement between the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Italy.
The NATO Air Policing mission represents an important component of integrated air and missile defense, demonstrating the strong solidarity among Alliance member countries. Joint efforts and cooperation among NATO members ensure stability and security in the airspace.
This visit represents a significant step forward in the ongoing dialogue and partnership between the two countries, aimed at further strengthening their shared defense capabilities.
