From 12 to 16 January 2026, the Main Planning Conference (MPC) for exercise “Flash 26” was conducted at the “Jane Sandanski” barracks in Shtip.
The planning group worked actively on finalizing the exercise plan, which includes all the details such as, timelines, participants, responsibilities and tasks assigned to each of them. The exercise scenario, along with the related operational documents were further developed and correlated in order to ensure maximum coordination and efficiency during the execution of the exercise.
During the conference, work was carried out on the list of main events and incidents that will be used to simulate specific situations, with the aim of creating the most accurate and realistic environment possible for exercise participants. Furthermore, the list of personnel who will participate in the exercise was prepared and finalized, as well as the logistic requirements, including all the necessary resources and materials.
Additionally, a communications plan was developed, covering the procedures for effective coordination among participants. As part of the logistic preparations, requirements for transportation, equipment, and other supporting resources were reviewed and identified to ensure their timely availability.
The Commander of the Operations Command, Brigadier General Mirche Gjorgoski visited the Main Planning Conference, to observed the progress of the planning activities and their alignment with the set objectives.
The conference was a successful step in the preparations for the exercise and represents an important part of the efforts to achieve maximum efficiency and coordination for the implementation of the next activity in the planning process scheduled for February.
