Prior to the celebration of the 10 June -the Day of the Air Force WING, several activities were conducted before the central ceremony. The aim of the activities is to strengthen cooperation with the local community, promote humanitarian values, and improve the collective spirit of the service personnel within the unit.
In that context, the Commander of the AF WING, Colonel Dragan Pavlovski, held a working meeting with the Mayor of Municipality of Petrovec, Borche Mitevski, on the 8 June. At the meeting, they discussed previous cooperation and possibilities for further improvement. A humanitarian action was also carried out at Primary School “Kocho Racin” in Petrovec, where juices were donated to all students at the school.
As part of the celebration, a blood-donation campaign was conducted in cooperation with the Red Cross and the Institute for Transfusion Medicine, in which AF WING service personnel donated 55 units of blood. Additionally, sports and recreational activities and competitions in several disciplines were organized to strengthen team spirit, physical fitness, and mutual cooperation among service personnel within the unit.
The organization of these activities is another confirmation of the commitment of the AF WING to preserve military tradition and values that unite its service personnel, while at the same time contribute to strengthen trust and cooperation with the local community.
