On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the deaths of defenders Ljupcho Mirchovski, Zoran Bubevski, Dimitar Dvojakovski, and Nikola Pehchevski, today, 26 June 2026, a delegation from the First Infantry Brigade, led by the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dejan Chiplakovski, laid fresh flowers at the memorial dedicated to the four defenders in Berovo, at the invitation of the Mayor of the Municipality of Berovo, Petar Ruzhinski.
The commemorative ceremony was attended by delegations from the Municipality of Berovo, the Army, the Ministry of Interior, representatives of the local self-government, Veterans’ Associations from Berovo, members of the families of the fallen defenders, as well as other delegations and citizens.
The laying of flowers was a tribute to the four defenders who gave their lives in defense of our homeland during the 2001 armed conflict.
