More than 120 army personnel remain actively engaged in extinguishing the wildfires that have affected parts of the country. From the early morning hours, firefighting efforts have been ongoing with unwavering intensity in the regions of the municipalities of Makedonski Brod, Radovish, Berovo, and Zhelino.
From early morning, members of the First Infantry Brigade, in close coordination with the Crisis Management Center (CMC) and other involved entities, have been operating on the ground to fight the fires. Members of the Second Infantry Battalion have been engaged in firefighting operations in the municipalities of Radovish and Berovo, while members of the First Infantry Battalion have been operating in the area of the village of Lokvica in Makedonski Brod.
The members of the Logistics Base have also been involved in extinguishing the fire in the municipality of Zhelino, specifically between the villages of Cerovo and Grupchin. The Army remains fully committed to supporting citizens and institutions whenever needed.
