The open days, as part of the activities organized by the Army and the Ministry of Defense in cooperation with the local governments, commemorating 75 years since NATO establishment and four years of our membership in the Alliance continued in Shtip and Tetovo.
At the activities attended by the Chief of the General Staff, Lieutenant General Vasko Gjurchinovski, the Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska and the Commander of the 1st Infantry Brigade, Brigadier General Sashko Lafchiski, the visitors had the opportunity to see some of the weaponry, military equipment and vehicles from more units, including the 1st and 2nd Infantry Battalions, the Military Police Battalion, the CBRN Company, the Signals Battalion and the Intelligence Reconnaissance Battalion.
The citizens of Shtip and Tetovo also had the opportunity to watch the combat skills of the Special Forces Battalion, the mountaineering skills of the Rangers from the Intelligence Reconnaissance Battalion and to listen to the military orchestra.
This was a good opportunity for those interested to learn about the military profession, the enlisting procedures, for pilots in the Air Force Wing, as well as to taste the famous “soldier’s beans” and soldier’s tea.
The open days in Shtip and Tetovo are part of the planned activities that mark the 75th Anniversary of NATO establishment and four years of our membership in the Alliance.
