In the period from 16.11.2020 to 24.11.2020, at the Army House in Skopje, observing all measures and recommendations in dealing with the Covid 19 pandemic, with the physical presence of some of the participants and via video teleconference, the Final Planning Conference (FPC) for the Defender Europe 21 exercise was held.
At the very beginning of the FPC, an introductory briefing was given by the director of the exercise, Colonel Blaze Nikolovski, who referred to the obligations and tasks arising from the Final Planning Conference.
The final planning conference is the final stage of the preparations for the Defender Europe 21 exercise. The main goal of the exercise is to continue with the planning and coordination of activities in support of the preparation and implementation of the Defender Europe 21 in order to finalize the concept of operations, support schemes, training areas and facilities and other requirements. The ultimate goal is all participants in the exercise to be synchronized in the planning and provision of resources for the smooth performance of Defender Europe 21.
In addition to the preparation of the exercise plan at the conference, concepts were developed to create conditions for the start of the exercise Defender Europe 21, personal management, finalization of the program for visitors and guests and defining the guest list of the VIP Day, as well as, determining the date and place of the VIP Day, when the exercise participants will have the opportunity to show their activities.
At the conference, the exercise civil-military cooperation team together with the representatives of the engineering battalion and the municipality of Kumanovo conducted reconnaissance of the locations for the engineering projects planned for the exercise.
This concludes the cycle of conferences on the planning process of the Defender Europe 21 exercise. The final planning conference on the Decisive Strike 21 national exercise is to be held very soon as part of the Defender Europe 21 exercise.
