In the period from 8 to 12, the Main Planning Conference (MPC) for the Maple Arch 24 (MA24) exercise was held in the “Alexo Demnievski – Bauman” barracks in Veles.
“Maple Arch 24” is a continuation of the international exercise “Maple Arch”, which this year is organized for the 25th anniversary led by the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia, and sponsored and supported by the Directorate of Military Training and Cooperation of the Canadian Armed Forces.
During the MPC, all documents that are an integral part of the Plan of exercise (EXPLAN) were prepared, which is the basis on which the entire exercise will be created and organized. In addition to the Plan of exercise , the structure for the exercise itself was prepared, in which units from our Army and from the Armies and armed forces of Canada, Georgia, Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine are included with their own commands and headquarters.
During the MPC, a reconnaissance of the capacities of the military part of Skopje International Airport was carried out, which will be used for the arrival of the military flights of the participating countries.
The planning process for the “MA24” exercise ends in the month of September, when the planned Final Coordination Conference (FCC) will be realized, and the implementation of the exercise itself will take place at the end of November and the beginning of December.
